Curtis Family Fund Celebrates Community and Retirement

We are thrilled to announce the Todd and Christine Curtis Family Fund! This new donor advised Fund provides Todd and Christine a way to express their gratitude and love for the communities throughout DeKalb County.

Kristina served on the Community Foundation Board from 2011-2019, representing Sycamore and the greater Latino community of DeKalb County.

New Giving Option for May 7

Give DeKalb County is less than two months away! This 24-hour fundraising event will be held on May 7, 2020. New this year, we are excited to announce THREE ways to give on May 7.

In-person, 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., at the DeKalb County Community Foundation (475 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore)
(NEW) In-person, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., at the Sandwich Public Library (925 S. Main St., Sandwich)

Scholarship Opportunities Available

If you know a graduating high school senior, please pass this on! We are currently accepting applications for:

CHS Elburn Scholarship
Palmer Family Music Education Scholarship
Donald and Patricia Pritchard Scholarship
Jeffrey A. Trail Memorail Scholarship
Harold P. Wells Scholarship

Of the 70+ scholarship funds that exist at the Community Foundation, these five are administered through the Community Foundation . The majority of the scholarships are administered through local high schools. Please contact the school counselor at your local high school for information and availability .

It Matters! Census 2020

Please mark your calendars for April 1, 2020, Census Day. An accurate count of Illinois' population is essential to ensure that the State receives the funding it needs to properly care for its residents and provide critical services and programs.

Participation is very important to funding and support for local programs and organizations.
