Thank You to Our Online Auction Bidders!

First of all, a huge thank you to ALL of our bidders in the online auction! Because of your incredible generosity and enthusiasm, we raised over $29,000 (another school record! With most items going for over their value, it’s clear that the support of our Petoskey community and SFX family is stronger than ever. What an amazing way to kick off the excitement for our Gala on Saturday night!

Remembering Our “Why”

As we celebrate this success, it’s important to take a moment to remember our "why".

Why choose to send our children to St. Francis Xavier Catholic School?

  • Small class sizes that allow for personal attention
  • Caring teachers who nurture both hearts and minds
  • A strong foundation in faith and virtue
  • A family environment where every child is known and loved

Choosing Catholic education is a meaningful commitment and, for many families, a financial sacrifice. But together—parents, teachers, and parish community—we are building something lasting: a foundation of faith, friendship, and purpose that will guide our students well beyond their years at SFX.

Our Community, Our People

At SFX, families don’t just share classrooms—we share values. We share faith. We share a vision for raising children who live with kindness and integrity. When people come together around those shared values, they become more than a community—they become â€śour people.” So here’s to all the parents, teachers, and supporters who make SFX what it is. Here’s to our students, who walk through our doors each day knowing they have an entire community behind them—and a bright future ahead of them.

See You at the Gala!

We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone on Saturday night. Here are a few reminders for the evening:

  • Cocktail Hour will begin at 5:30pm.
  • Bishop Walsh will be serving mass at 5pm at St Francis Xavier. He will be coming to the gala immediately following mass.
  • Each gala ticket includes one drink ticket - all other drinks will be available via a "cash bar". Our volunteers will be selling drink tickets and putting them on your "tab". No need to carry cash!
  • All attendees should have received a confirmation email with the option to save your credit card on file - this makes the check-in & check-out process much faster for you!
  • A special thank you to Dr. Sean Stringer of Great Lakes Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for sponsoring cocktail hour. He selected and named a signature drink "Giddy Up & Give" - this drink will be complimentary during cocktail hour! Cheers!
  • The theme is "Boots, Buckles, and Blessings".....we'd love to see you in cowboy boots but dressing to the theme is certainly NOT a requirement!

Giddy up and give!

Dear families,

Saint Francis Xavier Church is actively seeking more children's involvement at the 10 am mass on Sunday, March 15th. Any SFX parish family with children can sign up. Please feel free to invite friends from other schools who are also part of our parish whom we may have missed. Any child, preschool through high school, is welcome to help. Our youngest children and their families make wonderful greeters, while our older children can take on jobs such as ushers, servers, choir members, and readers. Our next Children's Mass will be on March 15th at 10:00am.
