Young Authors' Project Winners

Congratulations to our students who contributed to the Nicholas Spennato Young Authors' Project, which is sponsored by the Delaware County Reading Council and the Delaware County Intermediate Unit. Penn-Delco had 15 of the 95 winning pieces that were selected from approximately 600 entries from private and public schools across the county. We appreciate the support of our principals, reading specialists and ELA teachers who supported and guided our students through the entry process. A special ceremony at Penn-Delco will be held in May.  See the list of winners at our website.

Sixteen students from our four elementary schools were selected to perform on March 2 at the Elementary District 12 Chorus Fest at Phoenixville Area School District with other elementary students across the region. Learn more at our website.

Congratulations to Northley Middle School Students Logan Ramsey (7th), Michael Henry (6th), Keira Wilkerson (8th), Anderson Stone (8th), and Riley Johnston (8th) who were chosen winners from the recent Americanism Essay Contest sponsored by the Aston American Legion Auxiliary Unit 926.  Students will find out what place they won at the award ceremony at the end of the month. One Sun Valley student, sophomore Aidan Hearn, placed as well.  Students' essays were in response to the prompt: "What does patriotism mean to you?" We are Penn-Delco Proud of their accomplishment!

New Board Member Sworn In

Congratulations to our new Board Member Mr. Patrick Twisler who will fill the seat left by Ms. Lisa Esler who resigned last month.

Thank you to all of our elementary families who contributed to the Kids Heart Challenge last month. Our elementary students learned about good heart health while helping to raise funds for the American Heart Association.
