Sometimes we hear people complain that immigrants should wait their turn in line for legal admission to the U.S. How long are some of the lines? Do the lines disproportionately impact certain populations more depending on their country of origin? Attend our upcoming Bagels & Coffee session on April 9 from 8 - 9 am and learn about the challenges facing Indian immigrant workers here in St. Louis and around the nation. Race for Refugees 2019 on April 27
Running or walking to benefit the clients of IISTL
R4R is scheduled to start at 9 am in Tower Grove Park. Run for refugees, and then party with the crowd. Wayne Crosslin/International Institute
Come one, come all! Join us, runners and walkers of all speeds, ages, and abilities and help our local refugee and immigrant community! The first 250 participants are guaranteed to receive our Joe Mohr-designed t-shirt from STL-Style, a complimentary UCBC beer, Starbucks, and Companion goodies. Post-race enjoy the folksy sounds of St. Louis's own Sadie Hawkins Day String Band. This year, we have added age-group awards for the 5K as well as a one-mile fun run.
