2022 WWETT Show Recap

Last month Hydra-Tech Pumps exhibited at one of our favorite trade shows – WWETT. WWETT stands for Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport and the show is held annually in Indianapolis. You can learn more about it at www.wwettshow.com. This was the first show since WWETT 2020, which took place about a month before the coronavirus pandemic shut everything down. The number of exhibitors was down from the prior show – there were 450 this year compared to 600 in 2020. Attendance was down as well at around 10,500 people - normally this show draws about 13,000 people annually. You would have never guessed attendance was down with all the traffic in our aisle.

Based on what we saw at this year’s show, people were anxious to get back to Indianapolis for the WWETT Show and they were ready to buy. Our booth was busier than any other WWETT Show we have exhibited at in the last 10 years. Existing customers and new prospects stopped in to talk about our hydraulically driven dewatering pumps and hydraulic power units. As is always true, we saw many familiar faces – people who visit this show every year and our “regulars”.   International turnout was good as always with visitors (prospects and customers) from Columbia, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, and Chile.

Several customers and a couple of new prospects took advantage of our show specials and a number of pumps and even a small gas hydraulic power unit made their way out to people’s vehicles to ride home with their new owner.

We’re already looking forward to WWETT Show 2023. Will we see you in Indianapolis next year? We’ll be there in booth 3023 – write it down and come and see us!

VY-2.jpg

Please help us welcome Hydra-Tech Pumps’ newest addition, Vy Scharnikow. Vy (pronounced Vee like the letter V) came aboard at Hydra-Tech Pumps in early January as a Sales Engineer.

Vy attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA where she would earn her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. During her time in school, she participated in internships with Parker Hannifin Corporation and Mack Trucks.

Immediately after graduating from Liberty University, Vy relocated to the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania where she took a job with Mack Trucks as an Application Engineer. After two years in this position, Vy was promoted to a Regional Sales Engineer position where she was responsible for sales support and engineering for the southwest region of the United States.

Vy has a number of skills that will make her a valuable asset for Hydra-Tech Pumps, as well as a valuable partner for you, our customers. She is developing a familiarization with Hydra-Tech Pumps' products and coming up to speed. Many of you have already spoken to Vy, and / or received a quote from her or some other form of support.

Hydra-Tech Pumps is excited to have Vy Scharnikow as the newest member of our team. We are looking forward to seeing her succeed here and make a positive difference for our customers.
