Let's Celebrate Women's History Month! | |

Women have been and continue to be the pillars of progress throughout our history. Women are consistently breaking barriers, uplifting their peers and fighting for equality, all while having a family of their own to care for.
Their perseverance, strength and determination led to the creation of countless opportunities for so many.
We have numerous idols to honor, reflect on and learn from, such as Michelle Obama, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Maya Angelou, Hillary Clinton, Anna Wintour and Oprah Winfrey to name a few.
I hope during this Women's History Month, you take the time to research a few important women in American History and recognize the enormous contributions and impact they have had within our history. We can all stand to learn more from these women and strive to be just as influential, if only within our career field.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires states to report the number of participants who are enrolled in more than one core program (title I, title II, title III, and title IV) in their annual performance reports. Join staff from the U.S. Departments of Labor and Education to review the data collection, and performance reporting requirements under WIOA, as well as discuss best practices to collect and report co-enrollment of participants across core programs.
Attend this webinar for a refresher on the requirements, insight on the data, and ideas for improving data collection, and reporting of co-enrollment with WIOA core programs.

This month we shine our light on our Eckerd Connects Partner.
Thank you for all you do to to provide our Prince George's county adults and youth with job readiness trainings, career services, one stop stop services and more.
Family has always been at the heart of Eckerd Connects. When we were founded in 1968 by Jack and Ruth Eckerd, the legendary power couple was often asked what motivated them to start a non-profit in rural Florida. Their answer was always the same.“It’s the kids.”
Today those words still hold true – but much like other families, ours has grown. Five decades later with a presence in 20 states, our family of services has expanded to include foster care, adoption, workforce development, aid for the homeless, transitional services for troubled youth, and so much more.
Mission:
Provide and share solutions that promote the well-being of those in need.
Jack and Ruth Eckerd founded Eckerd Connects as a way to help 25 children and their families get a second chance. Since that groundbreaking day back in 1968, Eckerd Connects has grown to help hundreds of thousands of clients get the second chance that everyone deserves.
Eckerd Connects is committed to not only providing the solutions that help struggling families thrive, but also sharing these solutions with others.
At Eckerd Connects, we believe providers and agencies alike are strongest when they are working together rather than apart on ways to improve long-term outcomes.

Curtis Campogni began working with the most at-risk teens in Florida in 2014. Seeking a new tool to engage and retain them, he discovered the power of Motivational Interviewing (MI), and it quickly became his most effective approach to inspire others toward change.
Curtis understands that successful implementation of MI requires a subject matter expert and someone with real-life experience utilizing these methods. Thus, in September 2021, he decided to pursue his dream of starting a company rooted in MI principles to influence change across the country.
Since, Curtis has been blessed to share this knowledge with over 10k professionals across 12 states employed in workforce development, child welfare, customer service, and re-entry programs.
On a personal note, Curtis is married with two dogs and recently adopted an amazing little girl. He also has an unhealthy love of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and tries not to allow their win/loss record to impact my motivation. 😊
