February 2026

President’s note:

Wow - it's March already! Let the fun begin. Our leagues are in full swing and participation is stratospheric!

I am thrilled to see so many new faces out there of all golf skill levels just having a blast and enjoying our beautiful weather and great camaraderie! Thank you all and we look forward to the many more fun times ahead!

We have a fun and active month ahead! Please keep an eye out for upcoming event emails and registration details. Whether you're playing competitively or just enjoying time with friends, I encourage you to sign up, get involved, and invite someone new to join us.

Our league continues to grow because of you — your participation, your sportsmanship, and your willingness to welcome and support one another. Thank you for being such an important part of this community.

Let’s make March a month of great golf, great friendships, and great memories!

See you on the course!

February Event 2026 Sugar Bowl

2026 Sugar Bowl

I want to thank everyone who came out for the 2026 Sugar Bowl. We were treated to great weather, an amazing turnout, and an all-around fantastic time.

With a winning team score of 435, the final outcome came down to a scorecard playoff between Team Skittles (SWFL) and Team Chicklets (Palm Beach). Despite our best efforts, the trophy ultimately stayed with Palm Beach.

We were able to celebrate some wins for some SWFL teams:

Jenny Taylor / Kerstin Koeing – 3rd place – low gross – 77

Bonnie Blanchard / Peggy Emmart – 2nd place – low net – 70

Dawn Pallett / Beryl Roman – 4th place – low net – 71

Beryl Roman took home one of the closest to the pin awards

Additionally, I certainly can’t forget that we had a hole-in-one by Lynn Carlson from the Miami chapter.

The team is already working on dates for 2027, so be sure to mark your calendars once they’re announced. It truly is a great time, and we hope to see a big SWFL showing again next year!

“Thanks to all the participants for a great SWFL team effort!”
