ConExpo/ConAgg recap

Despite the looming Covid-19 situation that essentially shut down Las Vegas as we were leaving (and the rest of the country in the week that followed) we had a fantastic time at ConExpo/ConAgg 2020. Advertised as the largest construction trade show in North America, ConExpo opened on Tuesday 3/10 and closed a day early on Friday 3/13. Yes there were some exhibiting companies that cancelled and there were registered attendees, especially internationals who cancelled their plans to visit the show. However the show went on and we were thrilled to see many of our existing customers and vendors come through our booth as well as new prospects.

On Monday we arranged all of our pumps and a hydraulic power unit in the booth and got everything setup and staged for opening day. Tuesday morning after a little bit of touch up and prep, we started receiving guests into our booth. Although attendance wasn’t what it could have been or should have been due to the Covid-19 outbreak, we were pleased to see some of our best customers and distributors coming through the booth during the show.

In addition to domestic customers and distributors we had visitors stop in from Canada, Mexico, Korea, Peru, Columbia, Costa Rica and New Zealand. Although the show was cut a day short, we enjoyed our time in Las Vegas with our customers and were glad we were able to participate in a show that only happens once every 3 years. If you did manage to get to the show and to our booth – thanks for stopping by! If you didn’t make this show you have plenty of time to plan to attend the next ConExpo / ConAgg show. March 14-18 2023 - https://www.conexpoconagg.com/ .

Addition Progress - We're getting there...
We thought we would keep you up to date on our building addition - even though the construction part is done there is still a lot of work to be completed on the inside! The picture below gives you a look at some of the work that has been accomplished in between manufacturing pumps and hydraulic power units and everything else that goes on at Hydra-Tech Pumps week in and week out. The 8000 square feet of new space will house a combination of production space, warehouse space, finished product testing space (including our new pump test tank), our loading dock and ground level doors and shipping and receiving department.

As the birds begin to make an appearance and spring is threatening nice weather soon in Pennsylvania, we are excited to continue to work on this space and make it work for us when we’re done. We will provide additional updates and pictures as we make progress.

Pump of the Month - S4VHL
Hydra-Tech’s S4VHL, four inch hydraulic submersible sludge/slurry pump offers three inch solids handling and head capabilities up to 210 feet. This heavy-duty slurry pump is designed to handle wastewater and sewage and will fit through a 20” diameter manhole. The primary uses for this pump are sewer by-pass into force mains and general transfer of solids laden fluids. Combined with our HT25 to HT74 power units, the S4VHL is capable of flows up to 750 GPM. This safe and variable speed hydraulic drive submersible pump can be used where electric power is hazardous or impractical.
