The Monday, April 8, 2024, total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada! Marshall, Minnesota should have about a 70-79% partial eclipse starting around 1:00pm, peaking about 2:00pm and ending around 3:15pm.
Note: It is not safe to look directly at the sun without specialized eye protection for solar viewing.

Minnesota’s remaining prairie grasslands and wetlands are still visible as you travel across the western and southern areas of the state. Enroll in this course to learn more about the P&P biome as well as current efforts to conserve and restore prairie and wetland habitat. With your instructors and guest experts, you will explore the prairie, its wetlands, and streams through classroom, lab, and outdoor field experiences. We hope you will share your prairie knowledge and experiences with our class and ask questions!
During class time and outdoors, you will practice using several environmental learning tools. Learn more in the event.

"An Inspector Calls" Theatre Production |
Performances April 10th through April 14th

SMSU Theatre’s spring production is J.B. Priestley’s classic detective drama, An Inspector Calls. Performances are April 10 through 13 at 7:30 pm and April 14 at 2 pm in the SMSU Fine Arts Theatre. Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door. Seating is first-come, first-served. Admission is free for SMSU employees and students with valid ID. Free and convenient parking is available in lot B-1.
In this mystery with a message, the enigmatic Inspector Goole interrupts a family celebration to interrogate the well-to-do Birling family about the death of a young woman. One startling revelation after another drives the family – and the audience – to consider how our actions impact the lives of those around us.

Chamber E-Connection Guidelines & Policies | |
Newsletter Goals & Audience
The purpose of the Chamber E-Connection newsletter is to share our member's events with other business and community members. It's an informational newsletter and helps to promote our member businesses and their events. Each Friday, our newsletter is sent to over 1,500 individuals. Our separate emails are sent to the same list, but are held especially for our Chamber events and Business After Hours.
Newsletter Policy
E-Connection events are included based on the requests from the member business. The following criteria are requested by the Marshall Area Chamber for event submissions:
*Event flyers or submissions must be an actual event. We don't include sales or promotions.
*Events can be included in the E-Connection for one week free of charge. You have the option of adding one additional week for $20.
*Submissions to be included must be sent the Wednesday prior to that Friday's E-Connection - they can be emailed to chamber@marshallmn.org.
*All event flyers are for Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce members only.
Did you find any errors? It happens! Although we appreciate notice of a small error in the newsletter, we only send out a corrected e-mail if absolutely necessary.
