In honor of our Bacon Crawl on September 21st, we are setting up the Red Barn for 1 one-hour escape room experience two weekends in September. This is not a "lock you in the room" experience, but one where you have to work as a team to solve riddles and puzzles to move through 13 challenges.
This is ideal for ages 12 and older with group sizes of six or less. If you have a group larger than 6, we would recommend breaking into two groups and competing against each other. Local author and historian Joseph A. Amato will hold an author talk at the Marshall-Lyon County Library on Saturday, September 21st. This talk will feature his recent book, Spring of Springs: Early Chapters in an Autobiography, and the art of writing about your own life. Amato, Professor Emeritus of History and Rural/Regional Studies at Southwest Minnesota State University, has published many titles of local and regional history, poetry, philosophy, narrative nonfiction, and historical fiction. Thursdays this Fall

This fall, Painted Prairie is setting aside Thursdays for schools, teams, and visitors to experience the Vineyard in unique ways.
Every Thursday at 11 a.m. a Sip and Stroll Vineyard Experience will feature a 75 minute tour and tasting with Krista of the grounds and Vineyard and four Estate wines. Cost is $35 and you must RSVP at Painted Prairie by the day prior to the tour.
Full day experiences with tour, corn maze access, Pavilion rental and meal will be available for teams of 15+. Please reach out to Painted Prairie for additional information.
School groups are welcome to the winery for a day of exploring the Vineyard, the Corn Maze, S'mores and other activities.

Chamber E-Connection Guidelines & Policies | |
Newsletter Goals & Audience
The purpose of the Chamber E-Connection newsletter is to share our member's events with other business and community members. It's an informational newsletter and helps to promote our member businesses and their events. Each Friday, our newsletter is sent to over 1,500 individuals. Our separate emails are sent to the same list, but are held especially for our Chamber events and Business After Hours.
Newsletter Policy
E-Connection events are included based on the requests from the member business. The following criteria are requested by the Marshall Area Chamber for event submissions:
*Event flyers or submissions must be an actual event. We don't include sales or promotions.
*Events can be included in the E-Connection for one week free of charge. You have the option of adding one additional week for $20.
*Submissions to be included must be sent the Wednesday prior to that Friday's E-Connection - they can be emailed to chamber@marshallmn.org.
*All event flyers are for Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce members only.
Did you find any errors? It happens! Although we appreciate notice of a small error in the newsletter, we only send out a corrected e-mail if absolutely necessary.
