We will be hosting an in-car outdoor movie in the Marshall library parking lot on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month. Times will change based on the sunset. Please check our website for our current summer line-up. To ensure sightlines to the screen, space may be limited. Prime spots are first come, first served! These are in-vehicle events: you will use your car radio to tune in to the audio of the movie. When you arrive, tune your radio to 88.1 FM. Want a reminder about this event. Email library@marshalllyonlibrary.org and let us know you want to be on our outdoor movie list. In the event of rain, this event may instead be held indoors in the Marshall Library community room at the same time. This event will not be rescheduled.

Calling all kiddos (and parents)!
Are you ready to become a Junior Ranger and earn your patch?! Starting July 14th, 2023, we’re launching the Junior Ranger program for kids to explore Minnesota state parks and learn about awesome plant and animal adaptations—just like superpowers! The activities are designed for children ages 6-10, but anyone is welcome to participate.
To begin, you’ll print or pick up an activity booklet Complete five or six booklet activities to earn 6 points. Bring your booklet to a state park ranger station or visitor center to collect your Junior Ranger patch. And enjoy re-using your activity booklet for coloring!

Our new exhibit, The Vietnam War and Lyon County, is opening in August. On August 8 from 1:30-4:00 pm, we are having a special exhibit preview open house for all veterans and their family members along with active service men and women. At 2:00, local Vietnam veterans will share how they participated in the exhibit. Light refreshments will be served.

Your team will have 30 minutes to discover clues, solve puzzles, and accomplish tasks to escape the schoolhouse! Cost is $25.00 per team (Cash or Check made payable to Lyon County Museum). Fundraiser for maintenance and upkeep of the schoolhouse. To reserve your time slot, visit the museum’s website at: www.lyoncomuseum.org and click on Escape Room to access the online form. Join us for a special day of golf and non-golf activities to support the Maggie Jean Foundation. Money raised goes to produce "Boxes of Blessings" delivered to mothers and families who have recently suffered a pregnancy or infant loss. Our goal is to let no women or families suffer alone.
We are taking hole sponsors at $100 each. We’ll provide a Foundation produced sign or you can supply your own. Non-golf activities during the tournament will include crafting a blanket & hat to go in the box and assembling the boxes.

Chamber E-Connection Guidelines & Policies | |
Newsletter Goals & Audience
The purpose of the Chamber E-Connection newsletter is to share our member's events with other business and community members. It's an informational newsletter and helps to promote our member businesses and their events. Each Friday, our newsletter is sent to over 1,500 individuals. Our separate emails are sent to the same list, but are held especially for our Chamber events and Business After Hours.
Newsletter Policy
E-Connection events are included based on the requests from the member business. The following criteria are requested by the Marshall Area Chamber for event submissions:
*Event flyers or submissions must be an actual event. We don't include sales or promotions.
*Events can be included in the E-Connection for one week free of charge. You have the option of adding one additional week for $20.
*Submissions to be included must be sent the Wednesday prior to that Friday's E-Connection - they can be emailed to chamber@marshallmn.org.
*All event flyers are for Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce members only.
