 Living Word Individuals! Bring your shoeboxes through the front door to the main office anytime the church is open on or before Sunday, November 19th.

 Area Groups & Other Individuals! Your shoebox donations will be accepted at the designated side door during drop-off hours only, listed in the graphic below.

Lyon County Museum

The 11th Annual Indoor Christmas Tree Walk opens at the Lyon County Museum, 301 W Lyon St, Marshall on Saturday, November 18. The trees and museum will stay decorated through December 30. View decorated trees by area families, businesses, non-profit organizations, and service organizations.

To vote for your favorite(s), place money in a box located by each tree. The top 3 organizations/businesses with the most money in their boxes will win the 2023 tree walk. There will be an online option to vote on the museum’s website. All proceeds from the boxes will go to benefit the Lyon County Historical Society’s mission of preserving and presenting Lyon County history.

Hanley Falls Fire Department with the help of Lakeview Trap Team will be handling the meat raffle with a bunch of great meat bundles to take home as well as pull tab horse races! We still have Unseal the Deal planned, so get here before 6pm for the 'early bird special' of two tickets and if you can't make that just before 7:15pm to get your one ticket! Drawing will be at 7:45 in between meat raffles. Don't leave after all that fun, because after all that Livin' Rich will be starting at 9pm with karaoke and music the rest of the night until bar close at 1am! Late Night Happy Hour from 8:30pm-10pm along with Jello Shots until gone! We can't wait!

The SMSU community and general public are invited and encouraged to attend this year’s conference, showcasing some of the excellent work done by SMSU students. This year’s conference will be primarily in-person, but will also have virtual options, with virtual presentations held live via Zoom. Presentations are grouped into discipline-specific sessions and held throughout the day. Presentation times for individual presenters, will be available in the URC Program as well as the URC Abstract Booklet.

The Holiday Home Tour is a fundraiser for the Lyon County Historical Society Museum and is on Sunday, December 3, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $20/each. The tickets are on sale at the Lyon County Museum. The ticket book includes a description of each home along with a map. The Lyon County Museum, 301 W Lyon St, Marshall will be open from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM on the day of the tour for cookies and refreshments. The museum is decked out for the holidays. Check out the annual Christmas Tree Walk and Heritage Room holiday exhibit.
