The Marshall Community Foundation (MCF) is pleased to announce that our spring grant cycle has begun. We are accepting applications from Marshall non-profits to support the great work they do in our community. The deadline for completion is end of day Friday, March 22.

Grant requests must align with the foundation's priorities of:

The Marshall Community Foundation is one of over 20 community foundations established via partnership with the Southwest Initiative Foundation. A local advisory board identifies needs in the community, grants dollars to local non-profits, and raises funds to grow the endowment. Earnings from the foundation's endowment are used to fund grants offered twice per year. MCF has granted over $171,000 since its founding.

This week, city council members voted to accept a bid of over $1.5 million for construction on the project. Trump, Biden lead primary candidates for Lyon Co.

MARSHALL - More than 2,100 Lyon County voters took part in presidential nomination primaries on Tuesday, according to unofficial vote totals. Donald Trump and Joe Biden each showed strong leads among Lyon County voters, with Trump receiving over 75% of votes in the Republican primary and Biden receiving over 80% of votes in the Democratic-Farmer-Labor primary.

Chamber E-Connection Guidelines & Policies

Newsletter Goals & Audience


The purpose of the Chamber E-Connection newsletter is to share our member's events with other business and community members. It's an informational newsletter and helps to promote our member businesses and their events. Each Friday, our newsletter is sent to over 1,500 individuals. Our separate emails are sent to the same list, but are held especially for our Chamber events and Business After Hours.


Newsletter Policy


E-Connection events are included based on the requests from the member business. The following criteria are requested by the Marshall Area Chamber for event submissions:


*Event flyers or submissions must be an actual event. We don't include sales or promotions.

*Events can be included in the E-Connection for one week free of charge. You have the option of adding one additional week for $20.

*Submissions to be included must be sent the Wednesday prior to that Friday's E-Connection - they can be emailed to chamber@marshallmn.org.

*All event flyers are for Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce members only.


Did you find any errors? It happens! Although we appreciate notice of a small error in the newsletter, we only send out a corrected e-mail if absolutely necessary.
