The Lakeway general election will take place on Saturday, May 4. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Voters may vote at any location in Travis County, including the Lakeway Activity Center, Briarcliff POA Community Center and Randall’s grocery store.

Household hazardous waste collection day this Saturday
T he Lake Travis Regional Re-Use & Recycling Center, in partnership with the City of Lakeway, will host a household hazardous waste event at 3207 Neidhardt Drive, Austin, TX 78734 on Saturday,  May 4, 2019  from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. You must present a driver’s license or utility bill with an address in one of the following jurisdictional boundaries: City of Lakeway, City of Bee Cave, Village of The Hills, Hurst Creek Municipal Utility District, Lakeway MUD, or Water Control and Improvement District (WCID) No. 17. Summer kick-off event on May 18
Summer is just around the corner! Come to our FREE Summer kick-off event at the Lakeway Activity Center to check out what camps we have to offer. The event will take place on Saturday, May 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A traveling petting zoo from Tiny Tails To You will be set up in the ballroom. Around the perimeter of the room, tables full of instructors will offer hands-on introductions to their classes. Participating exhibitors will include Camp Einstein, Tai Kwon Do, Young Rembrandts, SportBall, Mad Science, Round Rock Fencing Club, Cook-Learn-Grow and others. Also available will be a complimentary hot dog lunch in the courtyard, face-painting and snow cones from Ice Cream 2U! Everyone is welcome. 

The next Lakeway Community Blood Drive will be on Saturday, May 11, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. During our drive in March, sixty-six units of blood were collected from seventy-seven participants. We have the capacity to accept more donors and your participation is greatly appreciated. Prospective donors with appointments are given priority, however, walk-ins are always welcome. To schedule an appointment or for more information, contact the blood drive coordinators at or visit and search for Group Code A197.
The rescheduled wildfire ready workday will take place on Saturday, May 11. The work area in Hamilton Greenbelt contains mild to moderate slopes. Brush is already cut and on the ground ready for pickup. Bring work gloves and wear long sleeved shirts, long pants and sturdy close-toed shoes suitable for hiking. Sunscreen, insect repellent, hats and safety glasses are recommended. Beverages and fruit will be provided. A pizza lunch for all volunteers will follow the event. Plan to meet at the green space next to 224 Sailmaster by 8:30 a.m. Park in the recreation lane on Sailmaster or along the streets until noon. Rec lane parking is usually prohibited, but will be allowed for the duration of this event. Latecomers are welcome to join the workday in progress.
