We're pleased to confirm that the highly-anticipated Virtual College Expo22 will take place on Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 August 2022. With a wide range of interactive sessions and activities, Virtual College Expo22 promises to be an incredible two days and the very best yet! Find out more below.
On Monday, we launched the six-week #ChooseCollege national social media campaign. This collaborative digital campaign emerged from the work of the CDN Marketing Network, it highlights the importance of Scotland’s colleges and encourages potential students to – Choose College. Get involved by posting, sharing and liking #ChooseCollege posts on social media.

Virtual College Expo22 Change of Date - Tuesday 23 August –
Wednesday 24 August
The Virtual College Expo22 will now take place on Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 August 2022, with the theme: Rewrite the College Story: Learning Experiences, Skills Development, Anchoring Communities.
Virtual College Expo22 is the most exciting professional learning event for the college sector in Scotland, offering inspirational keynotes, workshops, seminars, and panel debates.
We really hope that you can join us in August and we look forward to e-meeting you there!

Choose College -
Scotland's National College Digital Campaign Launching 30 May 2022
The national #ChooseCollege campaign highlights the importance of Scotland’s colleges and encourages potential students to –
Choose College.
Organised by the CDN Marketing and Communications Network, Scotland’s 26 colleges have come together with one voice to promote the Choose College campaign via a mix of platforms including, TV and digital marketing with a strong focus on social media.
The Choose College social media campaign will last for six weeks, starting Monday 30 May 2022 and concluding Friday 8 July 2022.
We are encouraging everyone to get involved with the campaign on social media by using #ChooseCollege, together we can encourage potential students to… Choose College!

Following the round table discussions that took place at College Expo 21, associate researchers from the Centre analysed the key elements discussed and formulate the scope for some Action Research to be undertaken in each of the following areas:

- Student Experience
- Curriculum Design
- High Impact Learning
We're currently finalising the four Action Research year end outputs, which we are excited to share with you in the next couple of weeks. Watch this space...

College Awards - Entry Deadline Date Fast Approaching!
The Awards recognise the talent, skills and achievements of colleges, their staff and their learners.
The deadline for entries is Friday 1 July at 1700, and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in November.

SDS Career Review College Sector Resource
|

Earlier this year, an independent group of experts with strong representation from Scotland’s colleges, published a review of Scotland’s career services.
After months of evidence gathering, the review outlined ten recommendations to ensure career services support young people to thrive in the future.
With the Scottish Government accepting the review recommendations, a new resource ‘Careers by Design: What it means for Scotland’s colleges’ looks at the insight gathered through this review and what the recommendations might mean for colleges in the future.
