KNPB's Special Eclipse Observation Event

On May 20, 2012, Reno will be treated to a rare, astrological event! Reno will be one of a few cities in the world where an annular solar eclipse will be visible in its entirety (weather permitting!) in perfect alignment. Join KNPB for this once-in-a-lifetime event by attending our special Observation Celebration, presented with Fleischmann Planetarium, Astronomical Society of Nevada and Project Science. OpenLine: Reno 2020 Progress Report
|
Watch KNPB on TONIGHT, May 3, 8pm for a live broadcast of OpenLine. KNPB, along with news partners Reno Public Radio and Reno Gazette-Journal, will hold a live Reno 2020 Progress Report broadcast to discuss the current state of education in Washoe County with a specially selected panel of guests and questions from the live studio audience. The special OpenLine program, entitled "Teaching For Jobs," will be featured in an hour-long broadcast on KNPB and a special extended 90-minute live online stream provided by RGJ.com. KNPB Is Your Channel For Community Broadcasts

Tune in Sunday, May 20 at 11:30am, when KNPB once again joins forces with the NIAA and Gustin Sports Productions to broadcast state high school sport championships. In May, we will be featuring the baseball games deciding the 1A, 3A and 4A state boys baseball championships. Community Event Explores and Celebrates Heritage

Explore and Celebrate your Heritage at the Living History Faire on Saturday, May 19 at the Miguel Ribera Park on Neil Road in Reno. This free event features presentations, demonstrations and performances. On Saturday, June 2, KNPB will be heading to Truckee, California, for their 9th Annual Street Clean Up & Town-wide Block Party. Clean-up will be from 8am to Noon followed by the Community Block Party beginning right after the clean-up at the Truckee River Regional Park on Brockway Road. As a KNPB MemberCard holder, you can now find more value for your membership dollar by downloading coupons. Access the coupon portal. Create a login and choose the coupons you like.
