Dear Classical Music Lover

Every day of the year, we are here for you. From early-morning to late at night, WBJC-FM brings you the finest classical music available. Our music hosts, with well-over a century of collective experience, curate and program their own shows. There are no playlists dictated by management, or computer algorithms scheduling one movement of a symphony.

Mark Malinowski, Dyana Neal, Judith Krummeck, John Scherch, Kati Harrison, and Jonathan Palevsky not only bring you the music, but also give you facts and anecdotes about the recordings, composers, performers and conductors. Putting the works in the context of history and the lives of its creators adds to the understanding and enjoyment of the music.

Our spring on-air fundraiser is scheduled to begin on May 24, and run for a week. However, you can shorten the drive. For every $60,000 we raise before the drive begins, we can eliminate a day of fundraising. In the past, you have enabled us to reduce the number of drive days by 1/3. Let’s do this again!

You have counted on us. Now we are counting on you! Please click here to make you secure gift by credit card. If you want to pay by check, please mail to WBJC 91.5FM, PO Box 22342, Baltimore MD 21203-4342. You can also call us at 410-580-5800 and make your pledge by phone. Any way you make your gift, it will be counted to help shorten the drive.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Palevsky
Interim General Manager

P.S. Together, we can shorten this drive and keep WBJC-FM healthy. We are counting on you!

While Americans have been deeply absorbed with the topic of immigration for generations, emigration from the United States has been almost entirely ignored. A new book by Alan Marcus examines the largest organized group of white Americans ever to emigrate from the United States voluntarily.

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra returns to radio with BSO Encore powered by PNC Sundays at 1pm right here on WBJC!

Each two-hour program features never-before-released recordings from Marin’s tenure including signature repertoire, BSO commissions and world premieres, community collaborations, and BSO musicians as soloists.

Hosted by Jonathan Palevsky and Kati Harrison, each two-hour program includes insights about the pieces that were performed from Marin Alsop and one of the BSO’s fabulous musicians.

These broadcasts are made possible with generous support from PNC and The Friends of WBJC.
Member Helen Van Doren of College Park sent in a photo of her Senegal Parrot, 'Miss Nicky' who dances when we play waltzes and she just celebrated her 27th birthday.
