Help shorten the Spring Fundraiser even more!
WBJC is preparing for our Spring Drive next week and thanks to our fabulous members, we have reclaimed Wednesday! We will be playing more of the music you love without any pledge drive interruptions.

And right now, we are OVER 2/3 of the way to reclaiming a second day! You have the power to chop another day off the drive. That means our Spring Drive would be only TWO DAYS! That’s LESS talk and even MORE music!

If it’s your regular time to renew, your gift will be counted! If you’re a lapsed member who’s considering a return, this is the time! If you’re a Sustainer who’d like to make an additional gift, or increase your monthly giving level by a few dollars, that will count as well!

There’s no match for the daily rewards of WBJC -- bringing you inspiration, comfort, and peace. And there’s no match for your support’s power to make it all possible!

You have shortened the drive by a day; you can do it again!

The recent movie Chevalier tells the story of Joseph Boulogne, le Chevalier de Saint-Georges, a biracial composer, conductor, violin virtuoso, and athlete who lived c.1739-1799. Some sources state his birth year as 1745. My husband and I very much enjoyed the film when we saw it, but had some questions as bio-pics are notorious for taking liberties with their subjects’ life stories. With that in mind, I decided to do some sleuthing to see exactly how much screenwriter Stephanie Robinson altered the Chevalier’s tale – and got some surprises along the way. Note: if you haven’t seen the film yet, please be aware that spoilers abound in this piece!
