Sound attenuated units are great for an urban or residential setting, significantly reducing the noise generated by the system compared to an open power unit.
The challenge with sound attenuation is a balance between noise and air flow / engine cooling. The engineering involved must insure that the enclosure significantly reduces the amount of noise the unit makes when compared to an open unit, while providing adequate air flow to cool the oil and the engine so that the system can perform for as long as it had to.
Hydra-Tech Pumps can build sound attenuated units in 23, 35,47, 74-173 horsepower, 200 and 250 horsepower. We have also built electric hydraulic power units with sound attenuation as well and recently completed 75 horsepower and 150 horsepower electric units.
