A Message from NaBITA's Executive Director

NaBITA has been growing in leaps and bounds over past few months. Between our expansion into PreK-12, and an almost continuous filming and content creation schedule, NaBITA’s Advisory Board and staff remain dedicated to keeping campuses safe and providing support services and referrals for those who are struggling with the adjustment to college.

NaBITA BIT Standards – Team Mission and Scope

NaBITA recently published a set of twenty standards related to behavioral intervention teams. To help ensure that the standards are seen by the field and explained in detail, a twenty-part series will be featured in Tip of the Week format.

Teams should develop a clear mission statement which identifies the scope of the team, balances the needs of the individual and the community, defines threat assessment as well as early intervention efforts, and is connected to the academic mission.
