Dealing with Floods
If your business has been impacted by floods, find information and advice below to help you get back on your feet, including dealing with cancellations, communicating with custom ers a nd accessing Government flood support packages.
Take a look at the video we posted on our Visit Mid Wales website and Facebook page last week and please feel free to share it.

The aim of the video was to acknowledge the weather (who can avoid it?!), but in a lighthearted way; giving visitors practical advice e.g. contacting accommodation/attractions before starting their journeys and checking latest weather reports.
National B&B Week
Now in its third year, this annual celebration of the independent accommodation sector will take place from Monday 16 th – Sunday 22 nd March 2020.

MWT are supporting eviivo and the B&B Association to make the campaign a success and we need your help to make the most of National B&B Week week for Mid Wales accommodation providers. Last year almost 350 properties nationwide provided deals and offers to encourage guests to stay with them and we'd like to make sure that as many local businesses and MWT members as possible are among them.

Do Something. Do Nothing
MWT's social media video 'Do Something. Do Nothing' was launched a couple of weeks ago and we're thrilled to see it's received 11k Facebook views already.

Please pop across to our Visit Mid Wales Facebook page and help us share the #RealMidWales message. (And a big thank you to everyone who has already shared it).

Upcoming Familiarisation Events
Following the successful familiarisation visit to Beyond Breakout in Newtown last month, we are delighted to bring you news about two additional familiarisation visits, details below:
Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway | 8th April 2020 | 1pm - 3pm

A familiarisation day, primarily aimed at local accommodation providers.

The train will depart Llanfair Caereinion at 13.00, arriving in Welshpool at 13.45. The return journey is at 14.05 from Welshpool, getting you back to Llanfair at 14.50.

This is a great opportunity to see changes made at the W&LLR over the last few years. For example, did you know there are lifts at 2 main stations to enable wheelchair users or less able visitors to alight the carriages? Or that two of their bigger carriages have been adapted to take larger electric wheelchairs?
