To Our MiDA Network,

As we move towards the end of the first quarter of 2022, we at MiDA Advisors are excited about the potential this year holds. We see immense potential for African and other emerging markets as we all move towards recovering from the pandemic, we also see potential in the value we can add to the innovative solutions we can create as part of this great year of come back.

The last two years have surely been challenging for us all in many ways, but we have persevered together. We at MiDA are grateful to have continued to engage with you, our partners, friends, and clients on implementing impactful programs. We are proud of our growing team both here in the U.S. and on the ground in Africa.

Looking at the year ahead, we are energized and ready to provide greater insights and connections between U.S. investors and emerging markets through our events, research, and team of experts.

Thank you for being our champions and supporters. With you, we forge ahead with Power, Persistence and Purposefulness.

Warm Regards,

Aymeric Saha, CEO, and the MiDA team

2022 Economic Outlook Analysis with

Standard Bank Group

2022 holds enormous promise, most strikingly because it should mark the end of the pandemic. Further, the strengthening economic recovery will inject added cheer, and notwithstanding the occasional tremors in financial markets. Indeed, the global economy will grow above trend this year; the receding pandemic, coupled with strong household finances in key markets, is central to this prognosis.

MiDA is pleased to share the sixth IFC-MI Capital Markets Program from our partners, the Milken Institute. The program, a rigorous 8-month training program, aims to build the next generation of financial policy leaders and underscores successful capital market development across developing and emerging markets. To date, program graduates include 160 policymakers across more than 45 countries and more than 60 different government institutions (central banks, ministries of finance, financial regulators, stock exchanges and the like).

The next internship period runs from June through September 2022 (4 months) and these can take place virtually, in-person or in a hybrid format depending on company policies. The Milken Institute invites you to host an intern; internships are a great way for our scholars to find out more about how the US and global financial industry works in practice. This can also be very valuable for internship hosts looking for experienced professionals who can provide important insights into their own markets and also bring strong local networks to bear.
