RMN Met in Burlington Junction

Our Rural Ministry Network's Threads of Joy, hosted by Mary Robison and First Christian Church in Burlington Junction last Saturday, was very successful. Thirty-seven people from eight congregations gathered for an incredible day of sharing and building partnership. The food was fantastic, worship incredible, fellowship was relationship-building, and the shared information in breakout sessions was very helpful. Thank you to all of the folks who helped make this happen especially our hosts, Rev. Randall Robb, Rev. Michael Kateman, Mark Goodwin, Rev. William Foglesong, ARM Rev. Jennifer Long, and Regional Minister Rev. Dr. Paul Koch - all part of the Rural Ministry team - who were in attendance to help make this event even more worthwhile.

Revival in California

First Christian Church in California hosted Shackle Free Ministries for revival August 22nd and 23rd. Pastor Kevin King reports, "The Holy Spirit was moving in a mighty way as chains were broken and lives were restored!" At the conclusion of the event a total of fourteen people answered the Invitation to Discipleship and one was baptized during the service on Saturday night.

Safe Sanctuaries

A total of twenty-six folks from five different congregations around the Bootheel assembled for a Safe Sanctuary training at FCC Sikeston. The day's events focused on how we can help the faith of our children, youth, and vulnerable adults flourish and thrive in a safe setting.



The next opportunity for such training will be on Saturday, September 19 at Brentwood CC in Springfield. Come learn how to create and maintain an atmosphere free from all forms of discrimination, harassment, exploitation, or intimidation. Back to School with Faith

Faith Christian Church in Buffalo celebrated Back to School Sunday last week by honoring students and both retired and active teachers. They gave school bags to the kids and thank yous to the teachers! The message was about "Choices". The service included prayers for all schools, teachers, and students as they begin their new school year.
