Update from New Church Think+Pray+Act & Launch This Saturday!

Hello and happy Easter from Think+Pray+Act! We recently held our Annual Meeting in which we approved our budget and board slate. As we move forward, we’re figuring out which activities people would like to do when (think Afternoon TeaPA and similar community-building activities at various times centered around art, music, writing, as well as mission opportunities on 5th Saturdays of the month in addition to what we’re already doing with MCU and other justice partners). We’re continuing to build the People’s Theological Library and welcome your donations of theological books that would benefit the library. Please bring them by 2725 S Jefferson Ave, or feel free to check out our wishlist for specific works we’re looking for. We have an exciting new stewardship challenge that also relies on monetary donations for our activities, so add your one-time or recurring offering here at Tithe.ly! Also, if you can’t join us in person but would like to stay in touch, please sign up for our email newsletter, follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, and BlueSky, and/or join our current online discussion group (Sundays at 6pm). Thanks for all your prayerful support; we certainly do appreciate it!

Also, we joyfully invite you to our Saturday, April 11 gathering at 12:30 to celebrate our launch and officially install Rev. Rebecca Klemme Eliceiri as our pastor. If you can make it, please RSVP at thinkprayact4God@gmail.com so we know how much food to bring.

This unique new church is made possible by Pastor Rebecca, our Mid-America New Church Start team, and those who generously contribute to new churches through the
Pentecost Special Offering.

Rev. Ross Commended

Congratulations to Pastor La'Vetta J. Ross, on receiving the City of St. Louis commendation presented by the 10th Ward Alderwoman in recognition of Women’s History Month at the Town Hall meeting held at Union Avenue Christian Church on Monday, March 30, 2026.

The grateful congregation shared in its newsletter: "This honor is a well‑deserved acknowledgment of your faithful leadership, tireless service, and lasting impact on both our congregation and the broader St. Louis community. Your commitment to uplifting others, advocating for justice, and leading with integrity reflects the very best of what this recognition represents."

Financial Wellness Workshop April 18

As many as 77% of Americans report feeling anxious about their financial situation. The folks at Ozark Christian Church want to help. All are invited to participate in this workshop. Pizza will be served.

DCEF’s Maintenance Guide to Preparing your Property for Spring

We’re enjoying the longer days and warmer weather, but winter’s departure brings a new host of maintenance issues that need to be addressed before welcoming spring. To aid in your work, Disciples Church Extension Fund (DCEF) has compiled this printable checklist that includes suggestions for maintaining your church's roof, yard, parking lot, and general facilities. Find the full guide here.

Need to fix up your place of worship? If so, DCEF’s Green Loans and Building Evaluation service can help. Contact your regional Building and Capital.

Thanks for keeping in touch!
