Revelation: What's It All About?

The biblical book of Revelation is strange, seemingly mysterious, and often controversial. It's been mentioned in politics and war. We'll take a close look at Revelation, the apocalyptic genre, Revelation's reception history, and many of the interpretive moves that various groups make. We'll work to examine this text and its message to determine whether it can inspire us to embrace its final words - The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.

Join us online this fall to study and explore the book of Revelation with Rev. Dr. Jeff Moore. Jeff is the pastor of Webster Groves CC, affiliate professor at Eden Theological Seminary, and is working on a book-length project connecting Revelation with popular culture themes.

This first Disciple U session will start Sunday, October 4 and run through November 22. Each Sunday evening gathering is via Zoom from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.

The sessions are specifically designed for laity, but clergy are welcome as well. Their participation will qualify toward their annual professional development requirement provided they submit a reflection paper.

Disciples Mission Week Recap

Our first ever Disciples Mission Week took place September 8-13. It was a week filled with compelling and informative speakers, serving and volunteering together across our church, and worshipping together and celebrating mission.

The education and awareness webinars that were presented during the week were recorded and are now available to view. The topics were food insecurity, healthcare equity, housing insecurity, and disability equity.

Reconciliation Offering

This year’s Reconciliation Ministry Special Offering on September 27 and October 4 invites us to move beyond restoration to hope in action. Psalm 85:6–11 reminds us that God’s vision is more than repairing what is broken. It is creating a future where love and faithfulness meet, righteousness and peace flourish, and communities experience new life.

Your gift puts hope into action by supporting education, programming, and grants that equip congregations, camps, conferences, and General Ministries to dismantle racism, strengthen relationships, and build beloved community. Half of each gift remains in the region where it is received and funds our annual local reconciliation grant opportunities
