Advent Lectio @ 11

Wouldn’t it be great if ministers from around our region could gather weekly for a time of prayer and renewal? We think the answer is a resounding, “YES!”

Join us on ZOOM each Tuesday at 11am (November 25 – December 16) as we pray the Advent lectionary scriptures together.

Come and connect with colleagues! Come and connect with the fresh winds of God’s Spirit!

The clergy of the southwest will gather for a Christmas party on December 4. Learn more here>

Ozark Christian Church will be sharing its nativities from around the world again this year. Download the flyer with the dates and times here>

Advent Devotion

Our Rural Ministry Network has shared with us an Advent devotion entitled "Love Came Down at Christmas" by Deb Mills.

All are welcome to download, share, and enjoy!

Centennial CC Tribute

On Sunday, November 23, at the Fountain Park location of Centennial Christian Church, many gathered for a Service of Memory and Hope. Gathered were representatives from our general ministries partners, Week of Compassion and NBA; the Mid -America Region, Eden Seminary, St. Louis City government, former and current ministers and members of Centennial.

A powerful service of memory and hope was capped by a eulogy shared by Rev Dr. Dietra Wise Baker. Referencing Ezekiel Dr. Wise said, "God is going to open the Graves.

That building was bought. Now we're going to build. We're not just going to build a building we're going to build a people."

The event was featured on local news television here>

Revs. Theresa & Russ Hamilton Ordained

DHM Grants Available

Through these difficult days that our nation is facing, DHM is offering Disciples Congregations a special grant opportunity to assist with food insecurity in our local communities. If your congregation is already leading a food insecurity program or would like to begin a food-assistance initiative, please complete the short grant application to apply for funds.

Grant applications will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, and this is a one-time grant initiative. The grant will be $1,000 and once all available funds are awarded, the program will be discontinued. The application deadline is December 8, 2025Learn more here>

All Disciples Sing!

Mark your calendars, Disciples, and make plans to be in Hannibal on Sunday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. for "All Disciples Sing!"

Hannibal FCC has graciously agreed to host this year's event for congregations in the northeastern portion of the Region. Host sites are still needed for other locals throughout Mid-America.

This music-filled worship service, which is sponsored by the Rural Ministry Network, features congregational singing of the Christmas hymns and carols that we all know and love and that tell the story of Jesus' birth.

The RMN Steering Committee believes this will be a powerful and joyful worship experience during the Advent season.

If your congregation is willing to be a Regional host, please reach out to the Rural Ministry Network
