Christmas Poinsettias

Final day to order!

Each Christmas, we encourage the congregation to purchase poinsettias to decorate our sanctuary. A list of donors and their tributes is included with our Christmas worship materials. Please order today by completing the online form below or by calling the office at 225-272-3110. The cost is $32 per plant, and the poinsettias will be ordered on Thursday, December 11.

Donors may take their poinsettias after the service they attend on December 28 or make arrangements with the Administrative Office to pick them up before January 4. Thank you!

NEW! Night of Noël
Carols in the Courtyard

Sunday, December 21, following the 4:00 p.m. service

Gather with your family and friends around the crackling flames of fire pits. Enjoy warm drinks, good food, and embrace the spirit of the season. It will be a memorable night filled with familiar carols, as we lift our voices to worship the coming Savior.

Food, coffee, and cocoa will be provided but we need you to RSVP so that we can compile a song list of favorites and plan for our refreshments.

Weather permitting, this event will be held outdoors. Please bring your tailgate chairs and blankets to keep your family comfortable! Feel free to bring a cooler with other drinks for your family.

December Performances

December 14 at 8:30 a.m. and December 24 at 7:30 p.m.

It's not too late to join! If you'd like to be a part of the December 14 performance, you MUST attend rehearsal this evening following the 6:30 p.m. midweek worship service. To participate on Christmas Eve, you will also need to attend rehearsal next Wednesday, December 17, following the 6:30 p.m. service.

Trinity Girl Scouts

Collecting Now–December 14

Throws for the Jones Creek Christmas Parade

The Girl Scouts will be riding again this year on December 14th, and we need your help! We are collecting parade throw donations such as beads, small stuffed animals, wrapped candy (no chocolate), snacks, small crosses or nativities, or other Christian-themed/Christmas-themed throws. Or if you prefer to make a monetary donation, you can drop it off in the donation box in the narthex or at the church office, marked for Girl Scout Troop 10178. Thank you for your support, and we encourage you to come out and enjoy the parade! Parade Details

Sock It To Me Drive

Our troop is also collecting donations for BR Parent's Magazine's Sock it to Me! Sock Drive. This is an affordable and convenient way to touch the lives of children and adults in our community. Just drop a pair of new, unworn socks into the same donation bin as the parade throws. Thank you for helping Troop 10178 bless our community!

Trinity's Angel Tree

Look for it in the narthex through December 21

This year's LWML Angel Tree will support approximately 100 residents at the Nottingham Nursing Home/White Oak Rehabilitation Facility and help them keep warm and cozy this season. Read more...

Read the WHOLE Bible Next Year

Pastor Crowe has a plan that even you can follow!

Have you ever made a New Year's resolution to read the Bible in a year and only made it a couple of months? Yeah, who hasn't. If you just open up the Good Book to Genesis 1 and try and read it straight through, it's easy to get bogged down around Numbers—if you even made it out of Leviticus—and give up. This is where having a good reading plan can make a difference.

The plan consists of four different readings each day: Old Testament (chronologically), a Proverb, the New Testament (chronologically), and a Gospel segment. Being in the Gospels all year long is just life giving. Whether this is your first attempt or your tenth time through, I think you will find it AWESOME!

If you are interested in this journey, please head over to https://faithlife.com/tlcbr-in-the-word and click "Ask to join" to sign up. Already a member of this group? Join OT History, Proverbs, Gospels, and NT History (2026) under Reading plans.

Read the Bible together with your Trinity family this year!

Not a fan of digital reading?

We have a plan for you, too! Download the calendar of readings HERE or pick one up in the Official Documents box in the narthex!

Prayer List

At Trinity, we are a congregation doing life together, and that includes praying for one another.

If you have friends on the TLC friends list, Ongoing TLC friends for cancer, or your own ongoing prayers currently on our prayer list, please notify Martha Rosendahl at prayers@tlcbr.org if you would like for them to remain on the list. We will remove all other prayers at the start of the new year.

Lost and Found

Last Call!  We have several items in the Lost and Found basket in the Narthex. Be sure to check it next time you are in church! Items unclaimed by December 15 will be donated to charity.

This Week's Verses

Isaiah 35:1–10, Psalm 146, James 5:7–11, Matt. 11:2–15

Flowers

Enjoy our beautiful Christmas decorations! Flower contributions will begin again in 2026. The new sign-up is in the narthex, next to the sink nearest the Wiggle Room. We've adjusted our sign-up system to tags rather than a list on the wall, allowing a little more space to make it easier to write. Please check the instructions posted just above the dates for details.
