Purpose
- To increase the greater Baton Rouge community’s awareness of Trinity Lutheran Church
- To engage the community through events, partnerships, and direct actions so that all might be welcomed into God’s Kingdom.
- To engage in our Trinity Mission to Love on the community.
- To engage in our Trinity Mission to Share our faith in Christ.
Primary Events
- Participate in community events such as community runs and/or parades
- Trinity Events on campus with an emphasis on supporting the community. (Pumpkin Patch)
- Considering opportunities to engage the community on campus.
Volunteer Opportunities
- May 31st Crawfish Boil & Picnic
- Pumpkin Patch and Fall Festival
- Other Ministry events are coming
- Section hiking on the Appalachian Trail
- Trinity Lutheran Church 5K
- Single event volunteering such as prepping, working the event, and/or take down
- Outreach Ministry Team Planning Committee
Helpful Volunteer Characteristics and Skills
Our team members strive to be a reflection of the Son (Jesus Christ), as the moon reflects the light of the sun, so we should reflect the light of Jesus to others. Exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit in interactions with others helps us to accomplish this.
