Special Message from Pastor Crowe

Monday Night Worship Service Update

Do you ever have to miss church on Sunday mornings and wish you could make it up? If you do, you are not alone. One of the things that I truly do love about Trinity is that we have an evening service on Monday nights for just such occasions. This service was originally started for shift workers who were not able to attend on Sunday mornings, for the folks that prefer evening services, and for those who are out of town on Sundays. It truly is a blessing! However, as Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas have continued to grow, the traffic issues have really put a damper on the Monday night service. This is especially evident in the winter months when it gets dark much earlier.

Over the last year, the elders and I have been asking the question, “If only there was a way to accommodate everyone’s needs and make the service accessible to the whole church, year round!” Well, after much prayer, research, and conversations with folks who attend on Monday night, it turns out there was a solution in plain sight the whole time. This July 6th, we are moving the Monday night service to Sunday night with summer and winter hours! During the summer’s extended daylight hours, we will begin our evening worship service at 6:30pm. However, during the winter months we will adjust the start time back to 4:00pm so that we are finished in time to drive home in the twilight. It is our prayer that this change will better serve our whole congregation and be a true blessing to everyone.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

God’s blessings!

VBS 2025

June 9–13, 2025

One Week, One Journey

We Need You to Make it Happen!

VBS takes a lot of people to operate, so our most pressing need is volunteers. If you are able, please consider signing up to work with us that week, even if only for a day or two! It’s a lot of fun and a great fellowship opportunity. For those that are unable to volunteer that week, you can still help! Visit our VBS headquarters page to see what you can do. We have shopping wish lists, items we’d like to borrow, and more.

One form for all—volunteers, youth volunteers, and participants all use this form to register.

The VBS Headquarters page is not intended to be shared with the public, it is for the use of our Trinity family. If you'd like to share our VBS info with the community, it is tlcbr.org/vbs.

Register by May 15 to ensure you get your VBS t-shirt! Actual shirt color to be determined based on availability at the time of ordering.

Caring to Love Ministries - Bottles for Babies Drive

Trinity’s Bottles for Babies drive starts Sunday, May 25.  After each service this weekend, baby bottles will be given out for you to take home and fill with cash, checks, or coins. We will collect the bottles on June 18th, Father’s Day.

Funds collected benefit the work of Caring to Love Ministries and the Care Pregnancy Clinic. The help you provide is used to transform the lives of moms and dads and to save babies right here in the Baton Rouge area.

Voter's Meeting

June 1, 2025 immediately following the 11:00 a.m. service

If you are a voting member and unable to attend, please email secretary@tlcbr.org to have your absence excused. Reports will be available in mid-May.

Courtyard Memorial Bricks

Are you looking for a unique way to honor Mom, celebrate a graduate or confirmand, or memorialize a loved one? Consider a courtyard brick with a personal message. The bricks are placed in the courtyard outside the entrance to the narthex, check them out on your way into or out of church.

Bricks are $100 and include up to 3 lines, 18–20 characters per line.

To purchase a brick, please fill out the online form at tlcbr.org/bricks or pick up a paper form from the table to the left as you exit the narthex. Completed paper forms can be placed under the sample brick. Orders will be taken through May 20. Brick sale proceeds will be used to reduce the principal of our building debt. Email trustees@tlcbr.org with any questions.
