Thanksgiving Eve Worship and
Wine Ingathering

Wednesday, November 26 | 6:30 p.m.

On Thanksgiving Eve, we will be gathering wine to be used for the celebration of Holy Communion in 2026. Please bring Mogen David Concord Grape wine (usually on bottom shelf with red blends or Kosher wines.) It is available locally at Albertsons, Rouses, Hi Nabor, Calandro’s, Wal-Mart, and Total Wine, and you can even order it online for pick up, like groceries, at many stores.

There will NOT be a worship service on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day.

We will launch a brand new worship service celebrating the start of Epiphany on January 6 at 6:30 p.m. More details coming soon.

Advent Fellowship Dinners

Please join us before the Wednesday night Advent Services from 5 'till 6:30 pm for Food and Fellowship. 


Here's what's coming up: Wednesday Night, December 3, - "Brenda's Gang" - Join Brenda Oliphant and her krewe who will serve up a tasty meal to warm your "Innards." 


Individuals and/or groups are needed to prepare and serve Advent and Lenten Meals. If interested, please speak with Larry Rosendahl or call the church office at 225-272-3110.  Thank you!

5:00 Christmas Eve Service Practice

If your child is participating in the Christmas Eve service, don't forget practice will be held weekly following the late service through Christmas Eve. A small snack will be provided or you may bring lunch for your child.

Christmas Poinsettias

Now–December 11

Each Christmas, we encourage the congregation to purchase poinsettias to decorate our sanctuary. A list of donors and their tributes is included with our Christmas worship materials. Order forms are available at worship services or you may order online below. The price this year is $32 per plant and the deadline for orders is Monday, December 11.


Donors may take their poinsettias after the service they attend on December 28 or make arrangements with the Administrative Office to pick them up before January 4. Thank you!

Ladies Christmas Party

December 6, 2025 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the sanctuary

Join us as we celebrate the reason for the season at our annual Ladies Christmas Party! We invite all women in the congregation to be a part of the preparation and join in the fun and fellowship at this potluck luncheon. Angel Tree Kickoff

The LWML will begin our annual gathering of gifts for the community at this event. This year our tree will support approximately 100 residents at the Nottingham Nursing Home/White Oak Rehabilitation Facility and help them keep warm and cozy this season. Read more...

Food Donations Needed

Southeast Ministries needs items for the food pantry. They are especially in need of  macaroni and cheese, instant or canned potatoes, canned vegetables, and meats and tuna.  If you can help, please bring your donations to the church (no empty egg cartons please) and leave them in the narthex. For more information, please contact Donna at dbuuck@tlcbr.org.

Lost and Found

Is something missing?  We have several items in the Lost and Found basket in the Narthex. Be sure to check it next time you are in church! Items unclaimed by December 15 will be donated to charity.

Office Closed for Thanksgiving

The Administration Building will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 27 and 28.
