Your Donation is A Blessing to Giovanne

Giovanne learned about Mission of Mercy from his employer and has been a patient since 2014. He started coming to Mission of Mercy due to pain in his legs and feet. He unfortunately has been through several health issues such as a hernia and a broken leg both which required surgery that he could not afford. Giovanne received the compassionate medical care he needed so he could return to work and provide for his family. Your support helps Mission of Mercy provide care and compassion to Giovanne and many other patients like him.

“I had no way to pay for the medical care I needed. Your donations are a blessing. Mission of Mercy is very helpful to people who have no insurance. The doctors and nurses are so kind. This was the only place that would help me. I am so grateful.” ~ Giovanne

In Memory of our Volunteer, Dr. Oscar Garcia

We are saddened by the loss of one of our long- time volunteers, Dr. Oscar Garcia. Oscar started volunteering for Mission of Mercy in 2012. He would help set up our mobile clinics, and interpret for Spanish speaking patients. Dr. Garcia was a dentist for 45 years helping so many in the community even when they could not pay. He was a wonderful, thoughtful and generous person who did so much for so many. He will be missed by all who knew him. Our hearts go out to his family and friends during this time. We were blessed to have him as a volunteer at Mission of Mercy.

You can view his obituary here. The family has graciously requested in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mission of Mercy.

Donations to Mission of Mercy can be made online by clicking HERE or you can mail them to Mission of Mercy, 2421 Ayers St., Corpus Christi, Texas 78404. If you mail it, please indicate if you would like for us to send a card to the family.

We will be ordering an Aloe Tile for our Volunteer Lounge in memory of Oscar that will include the names of donors giving in his memory.
