Welcome to July! It’s my favorite time of year; spending time with my family at the beach, fresh vegetables galore, and hearing from our clients about fun summer trips they are going on (and some of my recommendations or itinerary) … Greece, Italy, Spain, etc.
Thank you to everyone who attended our annual Community Shredding event to raise funds for Unite For Her, the organization we care about and support. We had over 100 cars pass through and raise over $1000 and have a picture to prove it: Here is the link to their website if you want to join us in contributing!
Despite this relaxing time of the year, we do want to share some timely reminders:
-
Student Loan Payments will resume on August 29th, 2023, > Plan ahead! If your kids or grandkids have student loans, we’re happy to discuss their options and get into budgeting basics. Let us know how we can help!
-
The Supreme Court has announced that Student Loan debt will not be forgiven. While this is a bit of a letdown after years of debate, at least now we know and can plan!
-
Investor360 is getting a makeover! Beginning July 21st, Investor360 will have a new look and a few new capabilities. To improve access and understanding of your financial resources while enhancing the navigational experience, we encourage you to start using the new Investor360° experience when it’s available because it provides you with a more modernized and customizable view. You’ll have access to several key enhancements, including:
Dashboard: A customizable dashboard—with widgets you can move, customize, and remove—as well as quick account group functionality.
Intraday pricing: Real-time pricing is available for National Financial Services (NFS) accounts.
Document upload: The ability to upload your documents, removing the extra step of emailing them to us.
Market data and research: Quick access to news, research, and other content directly related to your portfolio.
For a quick update on what happened in the market in June and the forecast for July, check out Commonwealth’s Chief Investment Officer, Brad McMillan’s Market Update.
Since I’d prefer that you’re outside enjoying your Summer, we’re going to keep this month short and sweet. Below you’ll find articles on CURO’s Top Ten Budget-Friendly Fun Summer Activities, and a short piece on Budgeting that you can share with anyone you know who may need a nudge in the right direction (looking at you, student borrowers 😉).
As always, my team and I are here to help! Reach out with any questions or to chat about planning your next adventure!
Until next time,
Marianna
