Representing more than 120 interns who have participated in the Museum of Discovery and Science’s App-titude Internship, three seniors from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School applied for and won the Congressional App Challenge in Congressman Ted Deutch’s 22
nd
congressional district. These three students were presented with an award certificate on November 20, 2018, at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
The Congressional App Challenge is designed to engage student creativity and encourage their participation in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education fields. This nationwide event allows high school students from across the country to compete against their peers by creating and exhibiting their software application, or "app," for mobile, tablet, or computer devices on a platform of their choice. The Congressional App Challenge is sponsored by the Internet Education Foundation, which assists congressional offices in hosting the challenges in their individual districts.
