Preparing Students for Success:

Spaghetti & SAT Night

On March 12, high school students will gather for the district's upcoming Spaghetti & SAT Night, a program designed to help students prepare for one of the most important exams of their academic journey.

This program provides:

• A welcoming and supportive learning environment
• Practical SAT preparation strategies and guidance
• Confidence-building support from experienced educators
• A shared meal that fosters connection and encouragement

Programs like this ensure students—regardless of background—have access to resources that support their future success.

Investing in Future Educators and Student Achievement: Scholarships Now Open

One of the most meaningful ways we invest in long-term impact is by supporting students and staff as they pursue their educational goals.

The Splendora ISD Education Foundation proudly offers several scholarship opportunities that help remove financial barriers and open doors to future success.

These include:

• Paraprofessional Scholarship — Supporting SISD paraprofessionals pursuing a degree in education and helping grow future teachers from within our district
• Findeisen-Backhus Scholarship — Awarded to graduating seniors pursuing studies in math, science, or liberal arts, honoring two legacies of academic excellence
• Mark Mitchell Foundation Scholarship — Supporting students as they take the next step in pursuing their passion and future careers
• Cara Muirhead Fine Arts Scholarship — Awarded to a student pursuing higher education. and demonstrating a strong commitment to creativity and artistic growth

Each of these scholarships represents more than financial assistance—they represent belief in a student’s potential and investment in their future.

Real Impact in Real Classrooms: Expanding Opportunity for Spanish Students

Because of donor support, a recent educator grant awarded in November is already making a meaningful difference for Spanish students at Splendora High School.

With the addition of new instructional devices, students now have consistent access to digital tools that strengthen vocabulary development, support reading skills, and deepen overall language comprehension.

In just a short time, teachers are already seeing the impact:

• Increased student engagement through interactive learning
• Greater equity through consistent access to digital resources
• Stronger language development through individualized practice
