One Night. Lasting Impact.

October reminded us what happens when a community comes together for its schools.

On October 24th, our annual Men (& Women) Who Cook brought together local businesses, community members, educators, volunteers, and friends of the Foundation for an evening filled with great food and an even greater purpose.

Thanks to our sponsors, guests, donors, and 18 incredible chef teams, the event generated nearly $34,000 in net proceeds!

But the real story isn't just what happened that night. It's what happens next.

Those dollars help the Splendora ISD Education Foundation continue investing in innovative educator grants, student programs, scholarships, and opportunities that go beyond what traditional school funding can provide.

Behind every grant is an educator with an idea. Behind every opportunity is a student who benefits. And behind the Foundation's ability to support them is a community that keeps showing up.

To everyone who cooked, volunteered, sponsored, donated, or joined us for the evening, thank you.

You didn't just help make an event successful. You helped make more possible for our Wildcats.

From One Night to Lasting Opportunities

What does community generosity look like in the classroom?

For Joanna Muirhead and her students at Peach Creek Elementary, it looks like a garden filled with opportunities to learn, explore, and discover.

Through a Splendora ISD Education Foundation educator grant, Joanna's Cultivating Curiosity project created an outdoor learning space where students could experience science beyond the classroom. From exploring food webs and renewable natural resources to understanding the sun's role and the water cycle, the project brings classroom lessons to life through hands-on gardening activities.

In a special video that debuted at Men (& Women) Who Cook, Joanna shared why applying for a Foundation grant mattered and what that support meant for her students.

Her story reminds us that behind every educator grant is a teacher with an idea and students who stand to benefit.

That's why we do what we do. Your support makes that possible.

Big Ideas Are in the Works!

Our 2026–2027 Educator Grant Program received 27 applications from Splendora ISD educators, each bringing creative ideas to enhance learning and create meaningful experiences for students.

The application review process, including district department approvals, is now complete, and we're getting closer to one of our favorite Foundation traditions... Prize Patrol!

We can't share when or where we'll show up (that would ruin the surprise!), but we can promise plenty of excitement as we celebrate educators whose ideas have been selected for funding.

To every educator who applied, thank you for your creativity, dedication, and commitment to making learning even better for our Wildcats.

Stay tuned! We can't wait to share the surprises and celebrate this year's grant recipients!

MONTHLY

DONOR SPOTLIGHT:

This month, we're proud to recognize Elite Hospital, an Education Advocate annual sponsor of the Splendora ISD Education Foundation for the 2026–2027 school year!

Elite Hospital's year-round partnership supports the Foundation's mission and includes participation in our three major fundraising events: Purse Bingo, our annual Golf Tournament, and Men (& Women) Who Cook.

Their commitment goes beyond supporting a single event. By partnering with the Foundation throughout the year, Elite Hospital helps us continue investing in innovative educator grants, student programs, and meaningful learning opportunities across Splendora ISD.

We are grateful for businesses that recognize the importance of investing in public education and the future of our community.

Thank you, Elite Hospital, for being an Education Advocate and a valued partner in creating more opportunities for our Wildcats!

Inspire a Wildcat: Your Story Could Make a Difference!

Sometimes, one conversation is all it takes to inspire a student to dream a little bigger.

Through our Inspire a Wildcat initiative, we're seeking community members, business professionals, alumni, and others willing to share their career experiences, personal journeys, or life lessons with Splendora ISD students.

You don't have to be a professional speaker or have an extraordinary story. Sometimes, the experiences we take for granted are exactly what a student needs to hear.

Whether it's introducing students to a career they've never considered, sharing challenges you've overcome, or offering advice you wish someone had given you, your story could make a lasting impression.

You never know which conversation might inspire a student's future.

MOMENTS OF IMPACT

October was a busy month of connecting, learning, and building relationships throughout our community!

From the Conroe Chamber's Stand Out Marketing Workshop and local networking opportunities to the Greater EMC Chamber events, we spent time connecting with people and organizations who share our commitment to making a difference.

We also continued recognizing the amazing people in our schools through special Foundation deliveries and, of course, brought our community together for another Men (& Women) Who Cook!

Every event, conversation, and new connection is an opportunity to share the Foundation's story, strengthen partnerships, and create more possibilities for Splendora ISD students and educators.

Because sometimes the biggest impact starts with simply showing up.

Every dollar stays local, helping fund educator grants, student programs, scholarships, and innovative learning opportunities for Splendora ISD students and staff. The Splendora ISD Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to investing in educational excellence across our district.
