Five minutes in nature. That's all it takes to reconnect us to the wonder of the natural world.

But we promise you'll want to spend a lot more time than that with the photographs in Kevin Ebi: Five Minutes in Nature. Ebi has spent the better part of 25 years capturing the power and serenity of things great and small in the natural world -- from icons in our national parks to solitary songbirds perched atop wildflowers ablaze with the morning sunrise.

In addition to his own books, Ebi's photographs have appeared in the pages of National Geographic, Smithsonian, and BBC Earth. When more than two dozen National Monuments were facing de-listing, Ebi was among the leading photographers who contributed to "Land Almost Lost," an e-book that generated more than 20,000 comments to save the monuments.

Five Minutes in Nature is Ebi's latest project to reconnect people to the natural world.

Come join us for the Opening Night Celebration of Kevin Ebi: Five Minutes in Nature on Friday, April 26. The exhibition runs through July 21.

Weekly Guided Bird Walks Resume

It's Springtime! That means migrating birds are on the move. Craig Thompson, our resident Bird Nerd (a term of deep affection) returns to lead the guided walks every Wednesday (through June 19) at 9 am.

We can't promise birds will land on your head for easy identification. But according to e-bird, 142 different kinds of birds have been observed at RTPI. How many will we find this year?

The guided bird walks are free of charge, but it's helpful when folks register in advance. To do so, please CLICK HERE.
