Don't Click Through Validation Prompts!

In the new system, Enrollment, Termination, Disability, and Member Information Changes are entered through data collections. The information you provide updates the entire IMRF system, which is why it is critical that the information entered is correct.

For this reason, DON’T click through messages about validation when submitting your data collection.

Learn more about validation, why it is important, Warnings and Errors that may occur, and how to resolve validation messages here.

If you encounter a Warning or Error that you need assistance with, please reach out to IMRF through the Employer-Only phone number at 1-800-728-7971.

13th Payment for Retirees Included in their July 1 Payment

Each July, eligible IMRF retirees receive a supplemental benefit payment, commonly known as the "13th Payment." This payment will be 26.113% of the retiree’s June benefit.

The 13th Payment is paid entirely by employer contributions, which is approximately 0.62% of the employer’s payroll.

This year the 13th Payment will be deposited on July 1, in the same deposit as the retiree’s July 1 monthly payment.

Payment here.

Update on Employer Reserve Statements

IMRF recently announced that 2024 Employer Reserve Statements are now available in Employer Access.

The total listed on the Reserve Statement is accurate.

Some employers’ statements display $0 for Residual Investment Income. There is an issue in how some of the numbers are displayed on the statement, however the total listed on the statement is correct.

IMRF is working to fix this issue. We will notify you when it is resolved and you are able to download your corrected statement.

Enroll in VAC Today!

IMRF's Voluntary Additional Contribution (VAC) Program is a great way for employees to save a little extra every paycheck for their retirement.

This program helps employees save up to an additional 10% of their income after tax with IMRF. These contributions will receive an annual rate of return of 7.25% in the member's account, which can add up to substantial additional savings they can use in their retirement.

Employees can sign up for VAC by creating a form in their Member Access account or by calling IMRF at 1-800-ASK-IMRF. Once the member has the printed form, it must be signed and submitted by their Authorized Agent, who will provide the start date for VAC deductions.

Once submitted by the Authorized Agent, it can take up to 15 business days to process the VAC request. It is important for the form to be submitted to IMRF PRIOR to when the employer wage report is due to prevent delays in wage report processing.

More information about the VAC program for employers can be found in the Frequently Asked Question section of the Employer Access Learning Center.

Help IMRF spread the word about VAC and help your employees find another GREAT way to save for their retirement!
