Academic Building: Looking Forward

The new Academic Building is under construction at the heart of campus. ITS has been involved from the start, analyzing drawings and coordinating with departments on room needs. Now, AV rough-ins are being installed throughout the different classrooms, collaboration rooms, and recording spaces. What is a rough-in? An example of a rough-in might be the conduit for cabling and the more than 250 boxes for ETSU network and power that provide resources to wall-mounted TVs. Rough-ins enable ITS to ensure strong signals, modern technology, and reliable power for many years to come. The project is progressing well, and we are excited for the finished space!

(January 1 – February 28)

This month, we’re excited to highlight Teresa McCann and Beth Hyder—the incredible switchboard operators who serve as a friendly first point of contact for prospective and current students, faculty, and staff. Their dedication ensures that every inquiry is met with helpful information and seamless assistance.

During January and February, the switchboard answered 3,150 calls! We deeply appreciate their hard work and the essential role they play in keeping the switchboard running smoothly at ETSU. Thank you, Teresa and Beth!
