First Day of Religious School:

Wednesday classes (3rd-6th grades) start August 13th at 5pm and end at 6:30pm.

Discovering Judaism

For non-Jews considering conversion, those engaged or married to Jews, individuals curious about Jewish culture, and Jews seeking to deepen their understanding beyond what they learned in childhood. This course explores life cycle events, holidays, Jewish history, prayer, sacred texts, Israel, ethics, and more. Classes start September 7th.

Temple Emanuel is committed to providing food for Tempe's unhoused through our participation with I-HELP. We need groups of 4-8 to provide meals. Upcoming dates still need to be filled:

Temple Emanuel Cookbook

The Mitzvah Makers need your recipes for our TEOT cookbook fundraiser! We are looking to create a kashrut-friendly cookbook featuring recipes you created or recipes you use and all proceeds will go back to the temple.

We heard your concerns about submitting recipes that are not yours, but rest assured it is not plagiarism because recipes can't be copyrighted. Just include the name of the original person or cookbook you got the recipe from for proper credit and you will be fine :).

We are looking for any recipe (Jewish or non-Jewish) from snacks to full-on dinners, and we are welcoming recipes with nuts. We just ask that recipes are Kashrut-friendly which means no mixing of meat and dairy, no pork products, and no shellfish. Recipes will be accepted until August 31st. The Mitzvah Makers will then start working on organizing and creating the cookbook in September.

Please submit your recipes to: Teotmitzvahmakers@gmail.com. Include your name and the words RECIPE SUBMISSION so we know it's for the cookbook.
