Memorial Hospital Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with its own Board of Directors, by-laws and Articles of Incorporation. We raise support for and manage 26 funds that provide financial assistance to Memorial Health System's patients and employees.
In September, we had the following impact because of our supporters:
413 medications for cancer patients
68 medications for cardiac patients
23 medications for endocrinology patients
8 pieces of medical equipment for ostomy patients
12 medications for rheumatology patients
covered cost of a brace for an orthopedics patient
The 5th Annual Loch-Q-Sa BBQ Cook Off will be held on Saturday, October 18th from 11:00am – 5:30pm at the home of Mike & Lori Pontius. Your $40 entry fee includes all you can eat BBQ and drinks as well as live music! On Friday night, there will be a hamburger cook-off for children ages 7-12 years old. Parent/child teams will get to keep the BBQ grills. Sponsorships are also available. Contact Lochqsa@gmail.com for more info. Proceeds will benefit our Oncology Fund which provides financial assistance for patients who are receiving treatment for cancer at Memorial.
Join us for the Pink Lotus Project Cha Cha for the Ta Ta's Breast Cancer Event on Thursday, October 30th! Get ready to dance the night away while supporting those fighting breast cancer in our community and raising money to provide mammograms and other diagnostic imaging services to those in need. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or a beginner, this event is open to everyone. A portion of the proceeds will benefit our Breast Imaging Fund.
Join us for the Perle PT & Pilates Open House and Ribbon Cutting on Tuesday, October 28th! There will be a silent auction for a Mahjong set, a weighted vest, a Pickle Ball set and time at the Picklr, and a Pilates class package. All proceeds will go to providing support for Memorial's breast cancer patients in need.
Join us for the 2025 Carter's Champions Pink Dress Run on Saturday, October 18th at Chandeleur Island Brewing Company! Registration starts at 9am followed by the Breast Cancer Survivor Celebration and a good warm-up before you run or walk. The Run/Walk will start at 11:00am. This is not a timed event. The route is a 3.1 mile run, walk or pubcrawl but you can turn around whenever you would like and return to Chandeleur. All proceeds go to Memorial's patients who need assistance with costs associated with breast cancer. Tickets are now on sale! For sponsorship info email Sponsor@carterschampions.com.
Save the date for Nothing Bundt Cakes grand opening on Friday, October 24th! We are incredibly grateful that they chose to support us during their grand opening with 20% of sales donated to the Foundation!
Jeans Fridays are back! With your donation of $10 for each month, non-clinical staff can wear jeans on Fridays through December. October proceeds will go to our Breast Imaging Fund, November will go to our Endocrinology Fund, and December will go to our Employee Crisis Fund. Your email receipt will be proof of your donation for your manager. Jeans must be approved by your supervisor and be work appropriate (no holes, rips).
RESTOCK ALERT! Long sleeve black and gold shirts have been restocked! You can order Foundation t-shirts, cups, and more on our online store! 100% of proceeds from the items will benefit our Employee Crisis Fund (except for breast cancer awareness shirts). Employees can request to pick up or have courier delivery to their clinic/office location. Non-employees can coordinate a pick up time.
We manage 26 funds that provide financial support to Memorial Health System's patients and employees. What makes us unique is that 100% of donations to the Foundation directly benefit the fund of your choosing and stay in our community. We have several donor programs for our supporters to choose from and you get to pick the fund you would like your donation to benefit.
