Hails & Farewells

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend, Danna Bell. Danna’s passion for museums and sharing primary sources knew no bounds, and she was willing to assist any member of VAM with a smile. She was a speaker from the Museums and Teaching with Primary Sources webinar presented in June. As we grieve her loss, we are comforted by the many beautiful memories she leaves behind. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Congrats to The Valentine and design firm Studio Joseph who have been honored with four awards for the transformative exhibition, Sculpting History at the Valentine Studio: Art, Power and the “Lost Cause” American Myth, which opened to the public on the museum’s main campus in January of 2024.

Share news and updates with our membership community to stay connected and informed. Your voice matters, and your contributions play a vital role in supporting one another through all experiences. Contact communications@vamuseums.org
