Multi-Week Youth Programs at Blue Hills Ski Area

Greetings Multi-week Program families!

The Snowsports team would like to thank you for choosing Blue Hills Ski Area for your children's ski and snowboard lessons this winter. We're looking forward to teaching your families!

We're (-ski-) bummed that Blue Hills isn't open for skiing and riding yet. We'll keep everyone posted. In the meantime, do your snow dances!

Please join us for one of our walk-in rental fitting/Snowsports meet and greet dates (below)! This is a MUST for anyone renting equipment from Blue Hills, but also a lovely option for everyone else.

These sessions are open to anyone and are an awesome opportunity to chat with our trained instructors. Ask us any questions about snow sports, our programs, or even the perks of joining our instructor team!

As always, if your questions aren't answered below, you are welcome reach out to us directly at: [email protected].

Save time! Print and sign all waivers and rental forms and bring them to Snowsports before your lessons start!

All Lesson Participants

Waivers, Pre-Level Evals, Passes

Waivers

Anyone taking a lesson with us this season will need to have an original, printed and signed waiver (linked/attached at the end of this e-mail) on file with Snowsports.

* Save time by printing and completing these forms (linked/attached at the end of this e-mail) with you. They're also available onsite.

Lesson Pre-Leveling Evaluation: Online Option

Help us get your lessons off to a great start!

Adults, please take a moment to fill out our (very short) pre-leveling eval for your student(s) and help us to assess their ski/ride proficiency for their first day.

or

We use this information for initial groupings to get lessons going smoothly; your ski/rider may change groups as lessons progress.

Not sure where they level up? Come see us!

Join Snowsports in person during one of our rental pre-fitting sessions (no registration necessary) and, if possible, bring a video of your participant skiing or riding on your device. We'll work with you to evaluate them for their lesson.

Season and Snow Passes

If using our snow pass (daily ticket) option during your lessons, you can pick this pass up on the first day of lessons at the Snowsports desk in the rental building. We'll have it marked and coded with your person's name and eval level.

Blue Hills will be sending an e-mail shortly with pass pickup information.

We hope to have them available at pre-fittings but please stay tuned!

Renters and Equipment

Rental Forms, Tunes, Boot Checks

Anyone who is planning on renting equipment during lessons MUST attend a brief (~10min) pre-fitting session on at our rental shop:

Blue Hills Ski Area

4001 Washington Street

Canton, MA 02021

Big Red Rental Building

No registration required; just show up!

We've added new dates:

Saturday: December 16, 9am-2pm

Wednesday: December 20, 1pm-6pm

Sunday: December 31, 8pm-12pm

This is a quick (~10min) visit to get fitted for equipment (boots, skis/boards, and poles when applicable) and turn in your waivers*, rental forms*, and pre-level evals^.

Each minor must be accompanied by an adult for these sessions.

For the most accurate fit, please wear thin, calf-height socks for trying on boots (loose-legged pants are also helpful).

The rental department will need:

  • An accurate weight for each participant (can't be measured onsite)
  • An accurate height
  • Shoe Size
  • A signed waiver for each participant*
  • Completed rental form for each participant*

* Save time by printing and completing these forms with you (linked/attached at the end of this e-mail). They're also available onsite.

New Equipment for the Holidays?

Feet are fundamental to skiing and riding; well-fitting boots translate to accurate motion on the snow and can make (or break) your season. Visit Snowsports at a pre-fitting session and e would be glad to check the fit of your boots before the season starts! (No registration required!)

The Blue Hills Tune Shop is open for binding mounting, tune-ups, waxing and maintenance.

Psssst! Helmets make excellent gifts! Easy and inexpensive to purchase from a number of local ski shops or online. Look for an ASTM F 2040 certification.

Welcome and Thanks Again from Snowsports!

We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season!

Can't wait to work with you and your fami this season!

Best,
