For your radar: The Milbank Memorial Fund has teamed up with AcademyHealth to establish a new annual award that recognizes state and local efforts to advance innovation using data to improve the health of populations and the performance of health systems. The prize was created to draw attention to, and reward, the efforts of state and local governments to develop and use data to achieve measurable improvements in the health of a population. Nominations are being accepted through March 6th.

Alaska's Integrated Behavioral Health System
  • The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) is applying for a Section 1115 Demonstration to support the continuing reform of its Medicaid program and of Alaska’s behavioral health and substance use disorder delivery system as a whole. The goal of the Demonstration is to create a data-driven, integrated behavioral health system of care for Alaskans with serious mental illness, severe emotional disturbance, and/or substance use disorders.
