Can you think of anything better than celebrating National Random Acts of Kindness Month? How about celebrating it with your community! That's just what Waters of Longcreek did this month, hosting many events to promote not only random acts of kindness, but also events that show our residents just how much we care. Shown here, on Valentine's Day, the Waters at Longcreek's Resident Services Coordinator, Tamara Canzater held a partner celebration to show our thankfulness for the kindness of our local partners. The Club 180 Children and Feeding Center and the Richland County Sheriff's Department were celebrated, and a fun time was had by all! Read more about these partnerships in this edition of the Atlantic Housing Foundation's Community Services Newsletter.

Richland County Sheriff's Department
|
|
Atlantic Housing Foundation partners with local police and sheriff's departments in each of our communities to make a difference and help transform the communities in which we live and work. We are excited to partner with the Richland County Sheriff's Department, located in Columbia, SC. Richland County is the second most populated county in South Carolina and we are most appreciative for the officers who give their time to work with our students in our Club 180 Feeding and Development program. We would like to recognize Deputy Sheriff Powers and Deputy Sheriff Fort for their continued engagement in the community. The Richland County Sheriff's Department believes in providing excellence, accountability, passion for service, integrity and developing connections with their communities; values to which AHF also ascribes.

Club 180 Feeding and Development Program runs full time at both Waters at Berryhill and Waters at Longcreek in Columbia, South Carolina. In 2019 Club 180 served over 4,000 meals to students in their program and over 9,000 since 2017. The Club 180 program not only serves a hot meal to every participant but also provides tutoring and a place students can go after school for positive engagement and socialization. We would like to thank Club 180 for the continued partnership and dedication to serving students and the volunteers that make it all possible.

Communities Transformed. Two words, endless possibilities.
We started on the shores of South Carolina 20 years ago, and over that time we’ve outgrown our Atlantic borders and transformed hundreds of thousands of lives in six states in 45 communities and 35 cities. With a mission to provide all people with a place to call home, regardless of their financial status, age, and mental or physical well-being, we’ve turned those two words into thousands of possibilities.
Our passion for real change, guided by our sometimes imaginative, often innovative and always trusted process, has helped our residents not only improve their own lives, but improve their communities through their transformation.
We are Atlantic Housing Foundation.
As an organization, we aspire to and believe in MAKING A DIFFERENCE. We strive to help and improve the communities where we work and live. We seek to assist our residents improve their lives through education, service, and community.
