Dear family of St. Francis,

We continue wandering forward, through this desert of the pandemic with its challenges and restrictions. Let us seek to be available and faithful to God, and as caring and loving as possible for ourselves and others. To support and nourish us spiritually, please join us in person or online:

We gather for Holy Eucharist outdoors at 9am for an in-person opportunity. At 10am we have our full worship with music online through our St Francis Website and Facebook page. For those who want to be around fewer people, there is Communion only at 11am, for a short 10 minute service.

With the help of our ushers and altar guild, and many behind the scenes volunteers, the following protocols will help us stay safe at 9am for the outdoor worship:

  • You may bring your own lounge chairs, but we shall have available, clean, sanitized chairs also.
  • You must wear a face mask covering your mouth and nose.
  • The seating area will be marked with mandatory 6 foot distancing strips and signage.
  • The 4 stone benches on the perimeter of the patio will be marked for household units.
  • Signage will facilitate where to stand for Holy Communion.
  • At this time, Holy Communion will be wafers only in paper cups.
  • Hand sanitizer stations and extra masks will be available.
  • If you have a cough or do not feel well then take care of yourself and stay at home.
  • The parish hall restrooms will be open. Please use the spray sanitizer after use.
And, this week you will be receiving a letter announcing our stewardship season. The theme chosen is “faith-filled generosity”. And that is my prayer for each of you, to be patient in faith and do what you can each day in the love and light of God.
With love and care,

To our Online Community
And finally - for all of you in our community who can't be in-person at this time, please know that you are still vitally important members of our church family. We are so very sorry that the situation means that many of you will need to continue worshiping remotely. We know that must hurt. We'll be continuing our full online worship well into the future, and of course please know you can contact Paula+ or Jude+ at any time if you need some support, or prayer, or just a chat!
Blessing of the Animals - A Few of Our Guests on St. Francis Day!
Be together - 5 days a week, as well as Sundays.
Morning prayer twice-weekly, led by Paula+, and Compline three times per week, led by Jude+ and a team of lay leaders. Each service includes the traditional service, plus words from the leader, and explanations of the readings. They are prayerful and quiet, a far cry from the turmoil of the world, and medicine to help us heal and be comforted and inspired.
