Get a Read Together bag, earn digital badges, free books and more as you reach milestones. Visit norfolkpubliclibrary.org for more information.
Child Abuse Prevention
April marked Child Abuse Prevention Month. Norfolk’s Early Prevention Unit gives families the tools they need to be safe and stable in their homes, and provides FREE, voluntary help to families in need. This team works alongside families to make connections to counseling, food and medical benefits, and parenting education. If your family needs help call 757-664-7706 or click here.
Hurricane Season Begins June 1
No home is completely safe from potential flooding. When just one inch of water in a home can cause more than $25,000 in damage, flood insurance can be the difference between recovery and financial devastation. Whether you rent or own, make sure you're covered! Visit our flooding resources webpage and our new Flood Risk Learning Center where you can find personalized flood data for your home. Don't delay - it can take up to 30 days for an insurance policy to take effect.
