Flood Awareness Week
Just one inch of water in a home can cost more than $25,000 in damage. During the week of March 14 - 20, we encourage residents to Know Your Risk; Protect Your Property; Get Flood Insurance.
During this year's Flood Awareness Week, we will unveil a new tool that provides a visual representation of flooding on your property. Find out more at norfolk.gov/flooding.

What Does Neighborhood Quality Include?

It’s our belief that all of Norfolk’s neighborhoods should be “Neighborhoods of Choice” where people want to live, play, and grow. The benefit of a strong property maintenance operation is the result of Neighborhood Quality actively creating a network of enforcement between the Fire Department, Fire Marshal’s office, Building Safety and Norfolk Police Department.
Water Saver Challenge
A new home challenge will help you stop water waste from leaks - saving you money while conserving water! The Water Saver Challenge shows how to easily identify common household leaks. These types of leaks are often easy to fix, requiring only a few tools and hardware that can pay for themselves in water savings. Request free leak detection tabs, complete the leaks checklist and log your fixes during national Fix-a-Leak Week, March 15-21.

Take the challenge and start saving!
