As we reflect on 2018, we are celebrating 25 years of community philanthropy! In this digital edition of the 2018 Report to the Community , see highlights from the past 25 years as well as some key activities of your Community Foundation during this past year. Join us as we celebrate, thank, and give back to the community.

We are Stronger Together
The Community Foundation is excited to announce Stronger Together, a time-sensitive campaign to sustain the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership (DCNP) for the future through endowment. 

We are close to our goal of endowing this important program. Thank you to the Douglas C. and Lynn M. Roberts Family Foundation for offering a dollar for dollar match up to $300,000  for donations and pledges made through December 31, 2018 .

$198,307 in Grant Support Awarded
Through generous donor support, the Community Foundation is excited to announce the distribution of $198,307 in Community Needs Grants this fall . These grants impact 29 organizations that serve the residents of DeKalb County.

YEP Alumni Update - The Mitchell Brothers
Meet Robert and Michael Mitchell , former Youth Engaged in Philanthropy members and graduates of DeKalb High School. So where are the Mitchell brothers now and did the YEP program have an impact on their lives after high school? See for yourself!

Gifts Through an IRA Charitable Rollover
If you or someone you know is age 70½ and older, here is a giving option to consider. T he IRA charitable rollover allows individuals to make a gift of a lifetime during their lifetime.  Support your charitable interests in the community with a tax-free gift from your IRA to a charitable organization such as the Community Foundation.
