MMS Monthly E-Newsletter | November 2020
Dear MMS families,

Thank you for your support during the first part of this unique school year. I am happy to report that the children have adjusted well to all the new routines and to our new classroom environments. We are grateful for our time with them, both in-person and when working remotely.

Thank you also for your diligence with daily health checks to ensure students are coming to school healthy. As we move into cold and flu season and as COVID numbers continue to rise in our community, please continue to be thoughtful and responsible in your actions. Maintain your hand washing, mask wearing, and social distancing practices, and please avoid social outings where distancing and mask wearing cannot be maintained.

These precautions take on even greater importance as we head into a season of celebrations. The CDC and other public health organizations are cautioning that travel and gatherings can present significant risks. We encourage all of our families to review holiday guidance from the CDC to help you make responsible and safe plans in the coming weeks. Your diligence will help protect your family and our community and keep our school doors open.

Please continue to keep in touch with any concerns, ideas or suggestions. We are all in this together and it is wonderful to have each of you as part of our MMS community!

Best wishes,
Jennifer

THANK YOU

Our families are the best! Thanks to all who have lent a hand so far this year. With your help, we were able to rearrange classrooms at 20th Street for Primary and Lower Elementary and transition our 4th through eighth year students to the new Staunton Avenue campus.

Families have provided vital assistance including painting, electrical work, furniture moving, repairs, fence construction, and donations of portable tents. We also continue to receive generous donations of Clorox wipes, tissues, and other classroom supplies.

We will continue to need your support in the coming months as we move toward the next phase of move-in at Staunton Avenue. Stay tuned for details!

Thank you!
