On the Road: Somernites in Somerset

We knew dozens of Novas were going to be in our own backyard, so we headed to Somerset to see how many we could find before winter comes.

Somernites Cruise is held in historic Somerset, KY, on the 4th Saturday of the month, from 12-6 pm every April through October. Events are held on Thursday night and Friday of cruise weekend, too, so out-of-towners can make a weekend out of their trip.

When it warms up again, come on out to Somerset, and let us know if you're in Kentucky. We would love to give you a tour of GM Classics!

Worn-Out Exterior, 5.7 Liters of Power

Behind this aged, 1970s-brown exterior is more than meets the eye.

Many of our customers choose to overhaul the exterior, interior and engine block when they work on their Nova. Not this owner!

Behind 50 years of wear and tear is a 350-cubic inch, 5.7-liter Chevy Smallblock crate engine. It's no Ferrari engine (and it doesn't run), but you can pick this up in Ohio for $12,000.

Featured Nova: Frank Sgro's 1963 Nova SS

I had always wanted a first-generation Nova. Life happened in such a way that I never was given the opportunity, but I always had this goal in the back of my mind.

For years, I planned ways to do it but never pulled the trigger...

Check Out Customer's L-79 Powered '66 Nova

Customer Carl Rossler of Rosslers Transmission shows off his beautiful 66 L-79 Coupe 3 on the tree!

He bought his first Nova (that didn't have an engine, hood or transmission) at the age of 15. He eventually got it up and running with the help of a donated Nova wagon.

Check out his full story here, and, as always, shop for L-79 parts 24/7 at gmclassics.com!
